My son Ben and his partner Aaron have bought and moved into their first home in Brunswick, Melbourne (can’t wait to visit them to see their house); we participated in the Brisbane City Council yearly community event “Dogs Day Breakfast” at Green Hill Reservoir (a brilliant dog off leash area in Chapel Hill); we advertised at the Brisbane Boys College “Songs of Scotland” music evening event and we have finally completed our new boutique cat boarding area which I have more information on in my previous blog, along with photos. So bring on the cats I say!
Whoever said “never a dull moment” certainly got that right!
Business has certainly ramped up with school holidays, public holidays and Christmas coming up soon. It’s only 72 days until Christmas seems still a long time but being caught out every year, this year I have already started my Christmas shopping!
Life is wonderful and all our lovely dog visitors and those we visit have kept us on our toes, kept us laughing and healthy and somewhat sane, so ….until next time – Enjoy reading!! Robyn
PS. The winner of the free $250 raffle of dog and cat toys and treats that I had at the Dogs Day Breakfast on Sunday up at the Reservoir was won by Rosalyn Runting from Chapel Hill who has happily received her prize. Congratulations Rosalyn!
PPS. I have had a few people telling me about snake bites and snakes around at the moment in the Kenmore/Chapel Hill and general western suburbs area. One lady had her little dog attacked last night right outside her back door by a python and her dog suffered horrific injuries but is ok thankfully. There have been lots of brown snakes around as well, very venomous. We even found a very large python today on our clothes line - so please be very vigilant everyone when your dogs are outside, particularly little ones. Due to the dry and hot conditions, the snakes are very active at the moment.
